Child, Tanzania 2007
I traveled to Tanzania in 2007 on a partly school led expedition. I had no real interest in photography at the time but had a small 2 megapixel point and shoot camera with me nonetheless. The quality of some of the images is shockingly poor but the subject matter often speaks for itself.
I still use the camera which is battered and bruised 4 years on for small projects. It’s quite literally been around the world with me.
Whilst walking on an acclimatisation trek, training for our ascension of Mount. Meru, we encountered this small child in the middle of the dusty landscape, slowly walking back to his Masai Village.
One of the group gave him a Werther’s Original…which he promptly spat out.
